Indications/Uses

Treatment of infections due to penicillinase-producing Staph eg, skin & soft tissue, resp & GUT infections.

Dosage/Direction for Use

500 mg 6 hrly.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to cloxacillin & penicillins.

Special Precautions

Overgrowth of nonsusceptible organism from prolonged use.

Adverse Reactions

Hypersensitivity reactions. GI disorders. Rarely pseudomembranous colitis, transient hematuria, hematologic disorders & hepatic function changes.
